Partnering with families to educate with truth, wisdom, and grace.

Lighthouse Christian School is a Christ-centered K-12 hybrid learning community that partners with families to equip students spiritually, academically, and personally to shine the light of Jesus to the world through biblical truth, character, and purpose.

John 8:12 - “I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will not walk in darkness, but will have the light of life."

A Different Approach to Christian Education

The best of Christian private school and independent oversight - working together.

Lighthouse Christian School combines the structure and support of a Christian private school with the flexibility and family involvement of independent education.A hybrid Christian private school is built around family, structure, and community. It is designed for families who want more than traditional schooling and more support than full independence.

Students attend classes on campus two days each week and continue learning at home throughout the rest of the week through guided coursework, parent-supported instruction, and independent study appropriate to their age and grade level. The result is a full educational experience that keeps families actively involved while providing the support, community, and accountability of a Christ-centered program.

How the Weekly Rhythm Works

Tuesday & ThursdayOn-Campus Days

Students attend classes from 9:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. for core subjects and electives while engaging in hands-on learning, discussions, labs, projects, lectures, and collaborative learning experiences. Campus days also provides opportunities for friendship building, fellowship, recess, lunch, Spirit Days, and meaningful connections.

What begins on campus continues throughout the week through guided learning at home.

Monday, Wednesday & FridayHome Learning Days

Home learning days provide time for students to continue coursework assigned from on-campus teachers while also completing parent-facilitated and independent learning objectives such as physical education, work experience for older students, and other personal interest subjects that make up their full academic program schedule.

Parents remain actively involved in their child’s education.

Growing Independence Through the Years

As students mature, they gradually take greater ownership of their learning.

  • In the elementary years, parents play a very active role in guiding lessons and helping students build strong academic habits.

  • As students move into middle school and high school, they developing more independence, responsibility, and time-management skills. Academic confidence is built while still benefiting from the support and accountability of both parents and teachers.

Our goal is to help students grow into confident, capable learners who are prepared for whatever God calls them to next.

A Community Built on Active Collaboration

Lighthouse is more than a school - it is a community of families working together.

To follow the community model (the body of Christ), each family commits to having one parental adult serve two hours per week on a campus day.

Tuesday or Thursday:

  • Shift A: 9:00 am - 11:00 am

  • Shift B: 10:45 am - 12:45 pm

  • Shift C: 12:30 pm - 2:30 pm

Volunteer opportunities are matched whenever possible to a parent's interests, skills, passions, and gifting. This collaboration strengthens relationships among families, creates a vibrant school culture, and helps keep tuition accessible for more families at a fraction of the traditional private Christian school.

Together, we cultivate a Christ-centered, tight-knit, like-minded community that nurtures, encourages, and brings out the natural unique gifts God has given to each of our students.Character development, service, and spiritual growth are prioritized alongside academic excellence for the overall well-being of the child as they develop a strong Christ-centered worldview preparing them for their future endeavors and community involvement.
